Hon. Hemed Suleiman Abdulla Tours Mpiga Duri (Maruhubi) Port Development

The Second Vice President of Zanzibar, Hon. Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, today, Saturday, July 4, 2026, visited and inspected the progress of the Mpiga Duri (Maruhubi) Port Project.

During the visit, he was received by the Director General of the Zanzibar Ports Corporation (ZPC) and the Co-Founder of ZF Devco, Mr. Jaffer Machano, who briefed him on the project’s implementation and the ongoing infrastructure development.

The strategic project is expected to enhance maritime transport services, improve port efficiency, support the blue economy, and strengthen Zanzibar’s position as a regional maritime and trade hub in East Africa.
